Adikesava Temple

 Adikesava Perumal Temple is located 7 km from Marthandam,50 Kms from Trivandrum, and 30 km from Nagercoil.

The temple was built in Dravidian Style Architecture with wooden pillars, doors, and roofs.

The gigantic idol of the lord is made of a mixture of materials named Kadu Sarkarai  Prayogam stands at 22 Feet. The lord is lying on his snake couch and has to be viwed through 3 doors.

Adhikesava Perumal's feet are on the left and head on the right.

A remarkable feature is the ottakkal Mandapam outisde the sanctum measuring 3 feet height that has been built on a single stone in the 12th century AD. The rays fall directly on lord Adhikesava Perumal in March-April and from September to October.
