It is Built Across the River Named Vambaru between the mountains in Western ghats

It is Built by the Erst While King of Travancore His Highness Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma in the year 1945.

This natural Earthern dam is built with Clay and Granite stones.

It is Surrounded by Forest and hills on three sides

The reservoir supplies water to Nagercoil City

It has a small park located near the dam for children.
